Web Publisher Program:

A revenue-sharing partnership between online advertisers/merchants and online publishers/salespeople. Compensation is usually based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales, clicks, registrations, or a hybrid model.

Contextual advertising:

A system that uses keyword recognition to scan the text of a website for matching keywords so it can locate and display ads that are related to what the user is viewing.

Conversion rate:

The percentage of visitors who take a desired action, such as agreeing to purchase or to become a member.

Gateway:

A term used in ZangoCash to define a custom-designed web page users see when attempting to access Zango-protected content. The Gateway page informs users about why they are getting Zango content for free and how to complete the install.

Payout:

The payment of earnings issued to a web publisher program partner.

Referral:

The act of referring a potential partner to a web publisher Program.

Syndication:

The sharing of content among different websites. Syndication is normally associated with licensed content such as television programs or newspaper columns and now includes online content.

User Consent Screen:

A term used in ZangoCash to define the screen displayed to users once they are about to install the Zango SearchSuite. The User Consent Screen includes the Zango disclosure and provides users with clear and upfront information about what they are installing.

Zango SearchAssistant:

A Zango application that matches keywords from websites users visit to highly targeted ads for products and services. The Zango SearchAssistant does not interrupt the content experience. Users only see ads when they are searching, shopping or browsing online – when the ads are most relevant.

Zango ToolBar:

A Zango application that lets users search the Internet directly from their browser.
